SPORT- KARATE,VINCE E CONVINCE LA SQUADRA DELLA LIBIA

Eccellenti i risultati ottenuti dalla nazionale libica di karate, allenata dal coach italiano Giuseppe Romano,impegnata in questi giorni in Sardegna dove ha partecipato al 30esimo Campionato del Mediterraneo; la squadra ha conquistato un argento nella categoria+84 kg con Nuri Wael e due bronzi rispettivamente con Farag Alobaidy nella categoria 61kg juniores e con Taha Elsahaty nella categoria -60 kg. Seniores.
Un risultato che costituisce il punto più alto per questo tipo di competizione, mai raggiunto prima.Soddisfazione è stata espressa dal mister Giuseppe Romano che ai microfoni dei giornalisti presenti ha dichiarato:
” È un lavoro svolto in continuità grazie alla fiducia accordatami dalla federazione libica e dal Ministero dello Sport, i ragazzi sono seriamente impegnati,come si è potuto vedere durante le gare,per onorare lo sport,la disciplina del Karate,e soprattutto i colori del loro Paese.
Ora ci attende un evento sportivo di grande interesse: il campionato del mondo cadetti, juniores e under 21,dal 7 al 14 di ottobre a Venezia, dove gli atleti della Libya si confronteranno con altri campioni. Sono fiducioso ma dobbiamo continuare con ritmi serrati gli allenamenti e proseguire il lungo cammino già intrapreso.”
Sul tappeto del palazzetto dello sport di Olbia si sono distinti tutti gli atleti della Libya che hanno partecipato alle gare, alcuni hanno sfiorato il podio in più occasioni,risultati che,vista le indiscusse qualità, sono con ogni probabilità solo rimandati.
