PAPA FRANCESCO: “PREGATE PER ME, SONO ASSEDIATO”.

Durante il viaggio di ritorno dal Continente Africano, papa Francesco, rivolgendosi a sacerdoti e laici, presenti sull’aereo, ha chiesto di pregare per lui perché si sente assediato. Questa esternazione del pontefice, ripresa e pubblicata sulla rivista dei Gesuiti, Civiltà Cattolica, rappresenta l’ennesimo grido di dolore del massimo rappresentante che denuncia una Chiesa sofferente. Le cause principali, purtroppo, risiedono all’interno della stessa Chiesa: eccessiva conflittualità, carrierismo, attaccamento al danaro e alle proprietà, a cui si aggiungono le terribili piaghe dei casi di pedofilia. La Chiesa è sotto attacco, e a colpire in maniera implacabile è parte della stessa Chiesa che papa Francesco ha tentato più volte con grande energia di recuperare. Mai un pontefice si era spinto così tanto in avanti, adottando provvedimenti e punizioni severe, colpendo sacerdoti, vescovi e perfino Cardinali. Il fatto che i Media, specie i media cattolici, parlino poco dell’attuale stato non è, a mio avviso, cosa buona! Con un papa dimissionario ed il subentrato alle prese con numerosi scandali, quello attuale dovrebbe essere il momento giusto per agire con coraggio e rifondare la Chiesa secondo i principi che ne ispirarono le origini. Tacere, costituisce un atto grave, significa procedere come se nulla fosse accaduto, come se i tanti episodi emersi dalle pagine di cronaca non fossero mai esistiti, come se il grido di dolore lanciato da papa Francesco non riecheggiasse ovunque. Ostentare ricchezze e spendere in cose futili il danaro proveniente dalle offerte dei fedeli, tralasciando investimenti in opere buone e azioni pastorali, rappresentano segni inequivocabili di decadenza, non è un caso se diminuiscono le offerte dei fedeli e le donazioni, basta guardare al brusco calo subito negli ultimi due anni dall’8×1000 alla Chiesa Cattolica. La verità è che nei territori, non tutti per fortuna, alcuni Vescovi e sacerdoti, confondendo il concetto di autonomia con anarchia hanno costruito, di fatto, un’altra Chiesa, contribuendo alla perdita del concetto di unità, elemento di fede indispensabile ad evitare la dispersione di valori e principi. Il Papa chiede ripetutamente aiuto! Se quel grido resterà ancora e a lungo inascoltato allora sarà davvero difficile recuperare. È un momento di forte criticità per tutta la Chiesa ma è anche l’occasione per una sfida avvincente:partire dalle tante cose buone cancellando ciò che di brutto ha leso e macchiato l’immagine della Chiesa negli ultimi decenni.

POPE FRANCIS: “PRAY FOR ME, ARE Besieged”.

On the return journey from the African continent, Pope Francis, addressing priests and lay people, present on the plane, he asked to pray for him because he feels besieged. This externalization of the pope, taken and published in the Jesuit magazine, Civilta Cattolica, is yet another cry of pain of the highest representative who denounces a suffering Church. The main causes, unfortunately, reside within the Church itself: excessive conflict, careerism, attachment to money and properties, in addition to the terrible wounds of cases of child abuse. The Church is under attack, and to hit implacably is part of the same Church that Pope Francis has repeatedly tried to recover with great energy. Never a pope had advanced so much forward, taking measures and punishments severe punishment, hitting priests, bishops and even Cardinals. The fact that the media, particularly the Catholic media, speak little of the current state is not, in my opinion, something good! With a pope who resigned and took over struggling with numerous scandals, the current one would be the right time to act boldly and rebuild the Church according to the principles that inspired the origins. It is a time of strong criticality for the whole Church, but is also an opportunity for an exciting challenge: starting from the many good things that erasing bad infringed and tarnished the image of the Church in recent decades.
